Sensory Language
To understand the importance of knowing how to use words effectively is fundamental for a successful copywriter. You could show the reader an image of something that they want and they want to move towards it or you could show someone an image of something that they don't want and they want to run away from it. At the end of the day you can achieve these same desires and fears, you can trigger them you can push those buttons and amplify them using the power of words. You will be essentially creating a movie or an experience in the mind of the reader and that movie or experience is what triggers the emotion. You will be using a bunch of different language patterns to achieve this.
Language patterns used in Sensory Language
Sensory language this is language related to visual. Kinaesthetic language this is language that they feel physically. Auditory language things that they hear. Gustatory and Olfactory language this is language that you taste or smell. When using these languages you need to identify what pain or desire or feeling or emotion you want them to have and then you can create a mental experience for them that will trigger that emotion. So whenever you sit down to do this you need to ask yourself, what pain or desire do I want to create? What emotion do i want to trigger inside of the readers mind. What visual movie? What do they need to see or visualise in their mind on a visual level that will trigger that emotion.
Sensory Experience
Emotions come as a result of experiences. If you can get the reader to play a movie in their head you will trigger the corresponding emotion.
Sensory Information
Use sensory information such as sight, sound, taste and feel/touch to make the movie in their mind vivid and compelling and it will trigger that emotion.
Power of time
There are different ways you can do this and different times that you can use these experiences to create power inside the mind of the reader. There is essentially three different ways to achieve this. There is two main ones and one which is a hybrid of the main two. The first one is you can talk about where they are now currently. You can talk about the things they are currently feeling and currently experiencing right now, and then you can talk about the future, both positive and negative things they could experience in the future. Then you can sometimes use stories that give them the opportunity to project their present or their future into that story.
Its always important to do thorough research before you begin any copywriting
